DESCRIPTION: France, conical "mysterious" clock, the patinated spelter case with fluted base and rounded ends, the front festooned with roses and supporting the central clock case, with flanking draped putto, his outstretched arm supporting the gilt conical pendulum, opposite a portrait, easel, and laurel wreath, skeletonized Roman numeral, signed white enamel dial, blued steel Breguet style hands, brass, 8 days, time and strike movement, c1880
CONDITION: case with break in rose garland at left, some surfaces originally gilded, and now with patination, paw foot an addition, turned feet at back also questionable, pendulum support reattached to figures hand, enamel dial a replacement, will run without pendulum, striking functional, needs service, 15"h x 13"w
